Hold Your Own BackYard Water Park!

"Mooommmm..I'm Boreddd!" "Moooommmm..I'm Hoooottt".

How many times have you heard this so far, this summer? I know I have heard it too many times already. The funny thing about summer is kids think it is gonna be great being out of school, but within a couple days, they see how boring life really is when you don't have a schedule or anything you have to do.

What is one way you can combat this boredom? Build a mini-waterpark in your backyard!

Here are some super fun ways to transfer your backyard into a water world!

You don't need a bunch of money to have a "slip n slide" all you need is a tarp and some water. Make sure the tarp is slippery and free from tears and is not super rough on the skin.

Set up several kiddie pools with colored water in them. For some reason, this turns blah into fab! Who wouldn't enjoy splashing around in a pool of purple water?

If you are feeling extra creative, try making this PVC pipe "kid wash".

Do a good old fashioned water balloon fight! Split your kids and yourself into teams and go for it!

Make a "water blob". I saw this on Pinterest and can't wait to give it a try. It basically involves making a giant squishy waterbed outside. The cost is relatively low as well..around $10.00.

Do a fun bike wash using an old garden hose!

What is even better than letting your kids chase away boredom? Inviting the neighborhood kids over to do the same! Make sure there will be an adult to supervise and your yard will be the most popular all summer, you might have to start charging admission ;)
