It's been raining here for two days now. We all needed a little pick-me-up so I decided to bake Lollipop Cookies! These always turn blah moods into smiling faces. :)
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 roll of refrigerated sugar-cookie dough
- Wooden Craft Sticks
- Colored Sprinkles
- Optional* Parchment Paper
Here's how you make them:
- Cut the dough into approx. 3/8 inch slices
- Place slices of dough 4 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet or parchment paper for easy clean up!
(Do not use wax paper for a substitute for parchment paper!) The reason I know this is because my MIL tried it and let's just say, it wasn't a good thing. ;) - Insert a wooden craft stick into each cookie to make it resemble a lollipop
- Shake colored sprinkles onto each cookie
- Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
- Allow to cool completely before serving
They are definitely kid approved - you can see the silliness come out. There is just something about food on a stick that brings out the best in people. :)
